The ProjectJoomla.me shows sites made with Joomla looking at the first million sites cataloged in order of traffic on Alexa (file). This research was conducted by the team of Joomla.it automatically and manually examining the sample of one million websites provided by Alexa.com and sorted by sites with more traffic (on 26 July 09). The analysis was conducted dividing the sample of one million in the ranges of 100,000 sites. The following graph shows how the percentage of sites made with Joomla is minor at the top of the hit, but reach the 3% in positions greater than 600,000 in Alexa ranking.

It's possible by the advanced search page to search in the list by extension of the domain. Selecting TLD (Top Level Domain) and entering the extension you want, for exemple it or gov or fr, etc. ...
From our database of sites made with Joomla, we list the sites with higher Google PageRank, 8 site with PR9 and 60 site with PR8: Joomla site with higher PageRank
The most used Joomla version is the 1.5.x with the 57% meanwhile the 1.0.x version is used by the 43%.
